Global DAWN

from the Heart of a Pastor

Pray for preparation of the people of the four countries of Asia to and with whom we will soon be ministering. Anticipation grows as to what God is going to do for His kingdom as we step out of the boat with the apostle Peter and walk in faith with Jesus. We’re “in the air” and arrive at our first destination soon. There we will be visiting and aiding in several orphanages; meeting with a new network of 200 indigenous pastors to encourage, equip, teach, and mobilize them into ministry among the Unreached People Groups of their regions of the country. We also are conducting extensive research in areas of humanitarian needs that God would have us be involved in now and in the future in order to “bring a cup of cold water in Jesus’ name” that people may receive much needed assistance and experience the love of Jesus in a practical way.

Pray that as we meet and minister with these people and those of three other countries as well, we and they will move beyond the performance of evangelism to intimacy with Jesus. It is then that the people of the world will see our resemblance of Him in our lives making relationship real…and effective evangelism will take place.

Speaking of intimacy with Jesus, may you join us in the kingdom journey of realizing that we have “received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry “Abba (Daddy) Father.” (Romans 8:15)

Being the product of a performance-oriented society, Sandy and I are reveling more and more in the realization that we are created for intimacy rather than striving. Whereas striving has the appearance of life, intimacy with Jesus is life. May we each be able to live in the Father’s love today…and be able to authentically address him as Abba-Daddy. God bless you. We’ll be back to you down the road in Asia.
