David grew up in a poor, remote village of Burma/Myanmar. He owned only one set of clothing. On washdays, he and his siblings hid naked in the bushes while their clothes were washed and drying. Today, David, his young and beautiful wife, Nancy, and their two children provide a home, food, clothing, and the love of Jesus for 23 orphans. On the property they have purchased, their desire is to build a facility to house up to 50 children and to provide a place where they can raise chickens and pigs in order to help meet some of their costs for the orphanage. They also envision beginning a school in their new community’s village of 800 homes and also build a sewing center where women can learn a trade and provide economically for their families. Time, however, is pressuring them. The lease on their present house expires in May. They have two building options: for $5,000 they can quickly put up a temporary bamboo hut of sorts that may last the monsoon season. Or for $30,000, if God provides the funds, they can build a large, sturdy, concrete house for their family and the orphans. We wish we could help.
